Coyote Calhoun, an avid OU Sooners Fan, is the Program Director and Afternoon Drive Personality for Country WAMZ-FM in Louisville, Kentucky. He was elected to the 'Kentucky Music Hall of Fame' in 2004 and the 'Country Music Disc Jockey Hall of Fame' in 2005. He is also part owner of the 'Coyote's Music & Dance Hall' in Louisville. He has been a customer of the Sunbelt Sports Mail Order
Department since the year 2000. He and Toby Keith attended the
October 1, 2005 home game against the Kansas State Wildcats.
Coyote sent us pictures and an email about his day at that
OU Sooners Game and has given us permission to display those images here.

"The first time I met Toby Keith was back in 1993 when
he, Shania Twain and John Brannon came to town as part of the
'Mercury Triple Play.' They were going to perform at the Night
Club; 'Coyote's Music & Dance Hall'.
I got a chance to talk to Toby and found out he was from Oklahoma
and like myself, was a huge OU Sooners fan. Needless to say
we became good friends." Coyote and Toby Keith are pictured
here at the OU Sooners Football Stadium on October 1, 2005.

"Going to an OU Game with Toby is like nothing I have ever
experienced before. I go to his house, we drive to the game,
he parks on the practice field and then we walk directly to
the locker room. All the players, coaches, assistants - Everyone
- comes up slappin' his hand and he introduces me to them all."

"I mean this guy has total carte blanche at OU. He has
got an all access pass to everywhere just by being Toby Keith.
When the team runs on to the football field we are right behind
them. I am getting to watch the game from the sidelines! Sometimes
I've gotta pinch myself to make sure this is really happening."

"At Halftime we leave and watch the second half of the
game in his [Toby's] suite. I got to met Kelvin Sampson, Joe
Castiglione..."

"...and Barry Switzer. Then after the game we go back to
the locker room to listen to the post game speech."

"Wow, what a great day. I got to do a lot stuff and meet
a lot of people. I started to feel tired after this full day
and went to sleep on the OU Logo in the middle of the practice
field."
